My personal experience has led me to the world of Experimental Psychology. While completing my MSc, I also learned Spanish and started teaching myself Python. For my thesis, I used virtual reality in my experiment which made me even more curious about the world of software engineering. I love learning, be that about cultures or coding, as I love understanding how things work and why they work as they do.
I decided to commit myself to the Software Engineering Immersive course as my love for coding grew and I felt that it fit exceptionally well within my life goals – learning, and problem-solving with the added benefit of exploring my creativity.
I am optimistic about my future career and I am looking for somewhere to allow me to grow as an individual using my expertise and understanding from the perspective of a software engineer.
I love being involved in accessibility and inclusivity. At the University of Sussex, I collaborated with student support and the charity Mind, to provide training to the academic staff, raising awareness of the real-world effects of traumatic brain injury on students as it's similar to my own experience.
As a result of wanting to be more inclusive, I enjoy learning about new cultures and traditions. This is also why I enjoy travelling as it broadens my way of thinking as different communities can behave uniquely - also impacting user designs.
Ongoing learning and development by playing musical instruments, and exploring specialties outside of my own, such as construction work and investment. I enjoy being active as the links between mental and physical development creates a strong foundation for any learning.
I enjoy being creative and taking emotive photographs - having sold them professionally.
